THE NEW NIGERIAN AMBASSADOR MEETS GREEK BUSINESSME IN THESSALONIKI

Following the successful meeting of the new Ambassador of Nigeria Mr. Ayodele with Greek businessmen in Athens last December, the Hellenic-African Chamber of Commerce and Development organized a similar event at the headquarters of the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Thessaloniki .

In the presence of more than fifty businessmen from North Greece the Ambassador talked about the robust state of the Nigerian economy and the impressive prospects of further growth and domestic demand and described both the opportunities for investment and trade in connection of various sectors of the economy, as well as the variety of incentives and guarantees offered by the government. He also presented relevant statistical data, particularly in connection with opportunities in the sectors of farming and agroindustry, energy, construction ,telecommunication and education.

The ambassador was welcomed by the Vice President of the host chamber Mr. Vlahoyannis and Ms. Makrantonaki on behalf of the Governor of the region of Central Macedonia. At the discussion and the reception that followed the Vice President of the Hellenic-African Chamber Mr. Vasilis Takas, who resides in the city, introduced several businessmen of Thessaloniki to the ambassador, which allowed further useful contacts.
